THE CINOCI RECORDS TEAM

Cinoci Records was founded by Ben Tatlow. Ben has been involved with music from an early age, learning to play the piano from the age of five and drums from ten. Composition has been an important factor in his life, winning various prestigious awards with experimental electronic scores. He produces beat-oriented electronica under the guise of eQo. Having spent much time developing websites since the advent of the internet, Ben decided to move into the online music industry, launching Cinoci Records in the autumn of 2005. He is currently studying Music at the University of Nottingham in the UK while running Cinoci Records in his spare time! Contact Ben here.

Cinoci Records are lucky enough to have talented graphics designer Scott Tierney on the team. Born in Bedfordshire in 1983, Scott has taken on various roles in the creative field, including Designer, Artist, Illustrator and Cartoonist. He has always had an interest in music and the sleeveart, favourite artists being R.E.M., The Beatles, Morrissey, David Bowie and The Divine Comedy. "With artwork relating to music, whether it be a poster or a painting, I like the pieces I produce to reflect the music, almost as if it's an extension ofthe music." Scott is responsible for the fantastic artwork that is present on this site and is also in charge of designing any artwork required by artists on Cinoci Records. Contact Scott here.
ABOUT THE LABEL

Cinoci Records is a showcase of up-and-coming music, all available for nothing. That's right, zilch. Our artists know that in the current musical climate it is nigh on impossible to make money, let alone a living, from writing music. And that's where Cinoci Records comes in. We give artists the chance to sign an album to us, we publicise it through various channels, and best of all it doesn't cost them anything either.

The main appeal, however, is you, the listeners. In order to download an album, you fill in your email address plus two of your friends'. The respective artist will receive your email address, so to contact you in the event of a future release. Your two friends will receive a friendly invitation to download the tracks you just have. Naturally, their addresses are not given to the artist until they download the music themselves.

Our aim is to give artists the chance of getting their music out there, and to give listeners great legitimate music which will in turn benefit the artists themselves. All our music is released under the Creative Commons copyright license Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 2.5.

Thank you for supporting the future of the music industry!
